What made you want to start Altarpieces?

At first it was just an idea of a way of helping myself stay close to God, But then when I got going, I was like oh wow, this could go somewhere. So I started the business in hopes of helping and encouraging others.

What gave you the idea of these books?

When I was serving with the British Army in Poland, everywhere you looked when you were driving or walking. Was reminders of God, there's a cross on every town entrance and exit. The art in the windows and the drawing on the walls. Everywhere was a reminder of God, or of Jesus or his disciples. And When I was driving I found myself talking with him a lot more. Even if it was just saying. Thank you for your creation its so beautiful.

And it was great to just feel his presence all around you with these little reminders.

So that's what I wanted to created, These books and artwork are reminders, having them somewhere in your home that you walk past everyday. And go, oh yeh, thank you Lord. And you can pray and read and dwell.

Where do you want Altarpieces to go?

I want it to reach as many people as it can, and not just believers, but non believers. There's so many times I see someone getting a pull to Christianity and then there mate goes. Yeh here's a bible bam. and yes yes yes. They need the bible. But I've been a Christian for a number of years now and the bible is a tricky book to just get given and say read that.

And I think that's why when I started Altarpieces I've started with The gospels, the accounts of Jesus. So people can be like oh your getting into this. Hey... Read John. Read Mathew. Get an idea of who Jesus is. And then you can dive into the exciting and complicated bible. Because it is complicated and it is hard to know where to start.

Do you donate as a company?

Yes, we donate 10% of profits to Gods mission, What does that mean, we put it back into the community. Giving to local churches, sending people on mission trips, providing for the homeless. Anything to give back to Gods work. God has given us this opportunity, so we must give back.

Is there anything you would like to say to the Community?

Come join Altarpieces on its journey. We are new and upcoming, at the moment we only have the Gospels and a few Art pieces on the website. But I am working hard to get as much out there as I can. It's just me and my brother currently but we hope to grow in the future.
